Welcome to Compassionate Trauma Therapy
Hello! My name is Natalie Millett. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in the State of Idaho and a National Certified Counselor (NCC). My educational background and training in the mental health field has instilled a great passion within me to help those seeking to improve their mental health and find relief from the impact of trauma. In 2016, I received a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology from the University of Idaho. I received a Master of Science degree in Marriage, Couple, and Family Counseling from Northwest Nazarene University with an area of emphasis in Grief, Trauma, and Crisis Counseling in 2020.
During grad-school I had an eclectic clinical experience, counseling individuals, couples, and families in various settings. Although, much of my training occurred at a facility called the Nampa Family Justice Center where I counseled survivors of domestic violence and sexual abuse. I became proficient in treating trauma and helping individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, PTSD, and some with severe dissociation.
After graduating with a master’s and receiving my professional license, I started a private practice in Nampa, ID which I owned/directed for two years before moving to Rexburg, ID in June-2022. I find my work as a trauma therapist specializing in women's issues most rewarding. I have training in a highly researched and effective treatment modality called, Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR). I am excited to work here in Rexburg with this great community!
